Celebrating Our Fantastic Women on International Women’s Day

Every year, 8th March marks the International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the achievements, contributions, and resilience of women around the world.

This year, the International Women's Day theme is "Inspiring Inclusion" It envisions a world that is free from bias, stereotypes, and discrimination – a world that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. This theme resonates deeply with Ulalo's values, as we strive to create positive change and foster inclusivity in all aspects of our work.

At Ulalo, we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of remarkable women who play important roles in driving our mission forward. On this International Women's Day 2024, we take a moment to honor and appreciate the amazing women who are the heartbeat of Ulalo. Let's take a moment to celebrate the fantastic women of Ulalo:

Ezinala Banda – Schools Performance Officer

Ezinala supports the implementation of the Building Education Foundations through Innovation and Technology (BEFIT) in her jurisdiction. Her dedication to improving education is commendable.

Rachel Nyirenda – Facilities Officer

As our Facilities Officer, Rachel ensures the smooth functioning of our office by managing supplies and necessities. Her organizational skills and attention to detail are vital in maintaining an efficient work environment.

Chifundo Chidumu – Resources Manager

Chifundo plays a crucial role as our Resources Manager, overseeing the efficient allocation and utilization of resources within Ulalo. Her strategic management ensures the sustainability of our projects and programs.

Melissa Godwaldt – Organizational Governance Advisor (Short term)

Melissa is supporting Ulalo on a short term assignment providing valuable guidance as our Organizational Governance Advisor, contributing to the development and implementation of effective governance structures within Ulalo.

Doreen Luhanga – Program and Technical Officer

Doreen's role as Program and Technical Officer involves intricate planning and execution. She ensures the success of our programs by combining technical expertise with a passion for creating positive social impact.

Pauline Mphande – School Performance Officer

Pauline supports the implementation of BEFIT in her jurisdiction, actively contributing to the enhancement of education through innovation and technology.

Ellen Muva – Accounts and Administrative Liaison

Ellen's role involves liaising between accounts and administration, ensuring a seamless flow of operations. Her efficiency contributes to the overall effectiveness of Ulalo's daily functions.

Tapiwa Chingalu – Accounts and Administrative Intern

Tapiwa, as our intern, plays a vital role in supporting accounts and administrative tasks. Her contribution as an intern reflects our commitment to nurturing future leaders in the field.

Mirriam Mwaphoka – Project Officer

Mirriam's role as Project Officer focuses on supporting the implementation of Savings Group Initiatives, empowering women within the communities we serve.
